PPS - WILLIE NELSON - WIND BENEATH MY WINGS

Esta canción se hizo famosa con Bette Midler, poniéndole su voz a la canción principal de la película llamada "Beaches", en 1988. Una película basada en el tema de la amistad. La canción da mucho énfasis justamente a ello.

Yo no ví la película, pero según leí la crítica, es muy conmovedora y esta canción fue todo un éxito individualmente.

Bette Midler, se presentó en el año 2001 en "The Yankee Stadium" de Nueva York, en un recital con motivo del fatídico 11 de Setiembre, entonando esta cancióny emocionando al público hasta las lágrimas. (Pueden ver el video de la presentación AQUI )

Desde las primeras notas, la canción transmite una buena disposición a la calma. Está demás decir que la interpretación que elegí, la de Willie Nelson, es excelente, pues estamos hablando de un artista consagrado en el ambiente norteamericano de música "Country".

Pensé en un primer momento hacer este PPS, usando imágenes de diferentes momentos entre padres e hijos. Pero después , surgió la idea de poner imágenes de nuestra querida amiga, el planeta Tierra. Así que, orienté el tema hacia ese sentido, como un llamado a la reflexión sobre el peligro que corremos de seguir contaminándola .
